Established in 2014, OZO Academy is a fully-certified training centre that operates from OZO Group’s Business Centre in Qormi.
OZO Academy offers a variety of vocational and theoretical courses overseen by internationally-trained tutors, with EU-recognised certification upon completion. The Academy caters to OZO Group employees who want to move up the career ladder, third-parties looking to train their staff, and private individuals who wish to enhance their professional skills.
The Academy courses cover a wide variety of professions from the hospitality, cleaning to healthcare sectors with the emphasis on practical hands on training enabling participants to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to continue in their chose profession.
Each course is accredited by Malta’s National Commission for Further and Higher Education (NCFHE) and aligned with the European Union’s Qualification Framework, which means a qualification from Ozo Academy is accepted and recognised by state authorities, agencies and employers throughout the European Union.
Since 2019, all 1,800 OZO Group employees have undertaken basic courses in their line of work regardless of how long they have been with the Group. This has been done to provide our clients with the peace of mind that, no matter which OZO Group employee is on the job, they will always receive the same, high-quality product.
The Academy is not just the preserve of OZO Group’s employees, however. As of 2019, OZO Academy is open to third-party employers and private individuals.
Ian Gourley is a high-calibre international consultant with a history of driving innovation and excellence in hospitality education as well as professional training & development with over 25 years experience.
Mr Gourley is an expert educator and trainer in the hospitality industry, having devised and conducted training courses throughout Europe, working with International hotel chains, restaurants, employers, employees and students. His focus is on bringing quality interactive & performance enhancing training to a range of clients and organisations. His experience also covers working with businesses in international trade as President of the Hellenic Irish Business Association.
Roxanne Clarke is the Group Training Executive for Ozo Group , whereby during the last couple of years hundreds of Ozo Group Employees have been trained at the Academy.
She takes pride in what the Academy has achieved and is always working with the Team to launch new and exciting training programmes.
Her latest achievement was the Culture and Integration Course. Together with Ian Gourley ; they have created the first training of it’s kind in Malta for Individuals or for companies.
With a passion for training and learning , Roxanne Clarke is currently going through studies for Business Management Diploma herself.
