21 Academy is licensed as a Further/Higher Education Institution with the National Commission for Further and Higher Education in Malta. The Academy offers accredited short and long courses in different fields, workshops for employers and employees and in-house training which are company specific.
21 Academy was granted a licence by the National Commission for Further and Higher Education in 2018. The Academy was set-up by its founders Dr Roselyn Borg and Angelito Sciberras after they developed and delivered a number of training courses, both on their own, together with other academies and also in tandem with employers where they developed a number of in house courses.
The aim of the Academy is to provide opportunities for its clients and students to enhance their knowledge of their specific industry related issues, learn new skills which are increasingly necessary to handle today’s challenges, and to understand better their full potential.
The Academy offers accredited short and long courses in different fields, workshops for employers and employees and in-house training which are company specific. Such customised training can also be accredited.
21 Academy is licensed as a Further/Higher Education Institution with the National Commission for Further and Higher Education in Malta. Courses and workshops are generally delivered at the Academy’s premises in Naxxar OR online. The tutors delivering courses and training are professionals in their respective fields and have been delivering training for a number of years.
Employment related disputes are generally heard and decided by the Industrial Tribunal, which has exclusive competence in specific areas as provided for by the Employment and Industrial Relations Act (Chapter 452). The Tribunal may be chaired by a lawyer or a person who has experience in the industrial relations field, and its decisions are subject to appeal only in limited instances. As will be explained during the webinar, the Tribunal has wide discretion in regulating its own procedures and in deciding on the amount of compensation to award employees.

She has over 15 years’ experience working locally and overseas. She has developed and delivered training programmes and has advised a number of employers on various employment law issues.
She also represents clients at the Employment Tribunal. She graduated at the University of Malta and then pursued her studies in the UK where in 2009 she also set up a boutique employment law practice until she sold it.
In 2012 she moved back to Malta and set up 21 law, also a practice specialising in employment law.
Angelito has worked in the Health Care, Journalism, Marketing, Sports and Administration fields. He has a vast experience in Human Resources, Customer Care and Event Management. Angelito has developed and delivered training programmes for employees in the IT field and in Data Protection particularly GDPR.
He is the Chief Business Officer at 21 Law and is responsible for the administrative, financial, and operations management of the firm. He has been instrumental in the growth of the firm.
He is also a partner at Advisory 21, 21 Academy and 21 Recruit and runs 21 Business Centre. Angelito co-authored the book GDPR for HR Professionals which was published in May 2018.
He is currently widening his horizons by studying Liberal Arts and Sciences.
