Diploma in Effective Coaching & Mentoring

The ILM Level 5 Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring qualification is designed to enhance your knowledge of coaching and improve your management performance, conflict resolution, communication and interpersonal skills. It is particularly useful to managers with significant responsibility for coaching and mentoring as part of your day-to-day role and those planning to move into a development role in their organisation or starting a career as a freelance coach and mentor.

Modules

This diploma is designed to help you develop your ability as a confident, well-practiced coach and mentor in the workplace.

  • Module 1 - Understanding the skills, principles and practice of effective management coaching and mentoring
  • Module 2 - Undertaking effective coaching or mentoring within an organisational context
  • Module 3 - Reviewing own ability as a management coach or mentor

This Diploma is awarded by the City & Guilds of London Institute and the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) — the UK’s leading provider of leadership, coaching and management qualifications and training. 


Accreditation


The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA)  deems this qualification to be at Level 5 in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.


Course Delivery

This course is delivered via blended learning and will consist of a mix of face-to-face lectures and online delivery.


Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but participants will typically be practising junior or middle managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.

 

Assessment Mode

To achieve the ILM Diploma in Coaching & Mentoring, candidates need to successfully complete two work based assignments and to plan, deliver and review at least 18 hours of coaching & mentoring respectively.
