Individuals should be at least 16 years of age. Learners who have successfully achieved certification in the Elementary Award in Maltese for Foreigners – Level 1, are eligible to attend this course. Alternatively, learners who successfully pass a Pre-Assessment Test in the Maltese Language, approved by Jobsplus so as to determine the learner’s level of competence in the language are also eligible.
This course is of 80 hours duration and consists of four Modules:
- Module 1 is of 20 hours duration
- Module 2 is of 20 hours duration
- Module 3 is of 20 hours duration
- Module 4 is of 20 hours duration - (including 3-hour assessment)
The National Commission for Further and Higher Education (NCFHE) deems this certificate to be at Level 2 of the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning. This course comprises study modules to which a total of 4 ECVET points are assigned.
